Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• 10-12+ years of complex general liability claims handling experience, preferably in the E&S market.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Excess claims across multiple states.
• Analyze coverage and determine duty to defend or indemnify.
• Develop legal strategy with defense counsel for excess exposures.
• Present facts and recommendations to Claims Committee on complex claims.
• Draft complex coverage letters and reservation of rights.
• Prepare large loss reports and supervise independent adjusters and attorneys.
• Ensure compliance with Admiral guidelines and reinsurer reporting.
• Participate in broker calls and industry seminars; additional tasks as assigned.
