Job summary

Job Store Staffing in Colorado is seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Equipment Operator for year-round work on foundation excavation and underground sewer installation projects. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and related equipment, ensuring safety and quality on residential and commercial sites.

With 5+ years in heavy equipment and a valid driver's license, you’ll read blueprints, coordinate with field crews, and maintain equipment logs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Extensive experience with foundation excavation and sewer installation.
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grading specifications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform foundation excavation for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Install and excavate for underground sewer systems, utilities, and related infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
• Excavate to precise grades while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with field crews, foremen, and project managers to keep projects on schedule.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and report maintenance needs.

Pay/ Hours: $40.00-$50.00/hour (DOE) Monday – Friday 40 – 50 hours per week Year-Round Overtime available during peak construction season

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Extensive experience with foundation excavation and sewer installation
• Strong experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and similar heavy equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grading specifications
• Excellent understanding of excavation safety and trenching regulations
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and leadership mentality
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working around underground utilities
• GPS machine control experience
• CDL is a plus
• Snow removal or snowcat operating experience is a bonus
