Job summary

The Job Store Staffing in Colorado is seeking a Senior Heavy Equipment Operator with extensive experience in foundation excavation and underground sewer installation. You will operate heavy equipment on year-round residential and commercial sites in the Rocky Mountain region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Extensive foundation excavation experience.
• Underground sewer installation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and site plans.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders safely and efficiently.
• Perform foundation excavation for residential and commercial projects.
• Install and excavate for underground sewer systems, utilities and related infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
• Coordinate with field crews to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain equipment logs and report maintenance needs.

• Monday – Friday 40 – 50 hours per week

What You\'ll Do:

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform foundation excavation for residential and commercial construction projects
• Install and excavate for underground sewer systems, utilities, and related infrastructure
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans
• Excavate to precise grades while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with field crews, foremen, and project managers to keep projects on schedule
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and report maintenance needs

What We\'re Looking For:

• 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Extensive experience with foundation excavation and sewer installation
• Strong experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and similar heavy equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grading specifications
• Excellent understanding of excavation safety and trenching regulations
• Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and leadership mentality
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working around underground utilities
• CDL is a plus
• Snow removal or snowcat operating experience is a bonus
