Job summary

Chandra Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata DBA to manage and optimize Oracle databases hosted on Exadata and Linux in AWS. The role focuses on ownership of schemas, performance tuning, replication, and high-availability configurations.

You will lead database strategy, collaborate with development teams, and implement best practices for scalable, reliable performance in cloud environments. Strong experience with Data Guard and GoldenGate is required.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture (storage cells, InfiniBand, Smart Scan, HCCH)
• Experience with ASM storage management and monitoring
• Hands-on experience patching, upgrading Oracle Database software and Exadata components
• Experience with performance tuning at database and Exadata storage levels
• Designing database schemas, indexing, locking strategies, and general tuning of Oracle databases
• Troubleshooting complex issues across database, OS, and Exadata storage components
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard for HA and disaster recovery, and Oracle GoldenGate for replication
• Experience with OEM/Cloud Control for monitoring and diagnostics

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Oracle DB environments on Exadata and Linux in AWS
• Collaborate with developers to define data requirements and optimize SQL
• Support modernization efforts with scalable database solutions
• Lead design and management of application schemas and extensions
• Provide diagnostic support for performance, configuration, and availability issues
• Develop procedures and best practices for cloud database operations
• Administer high-availability and disaster recovery using Data Guard
• Implement replication using GoldenGate
• Perform performance tuning and resource management for high-volume workloads
• Conduct regular backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work
