Job summary

DMS Vision Inc in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Senior Oracle/Exadata DBA to manage Exadata-based Oracle databases on Linux within AWS. You will own application schemas, database design and extensions, and provide ongoing support across development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture including storage cells and InfiniBand networking.
• Experience with Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC) and InfiniBand networking on Exadata.
• Exposure to Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and monitoring ASM disk groups.
• Hands-on experience with patching, upgrading Oracle Database and Exadata components (PSU/DBRU).
• Experience with performance tuning at both database and Exadata storage layer.
• Expertise in designing database schemas, indexing, locking strategies, and tuning Oracle databases.
• Experience with OEM or Cloud Control for monitoring and diagnostics.
• Strong SQL writing skills and on-call rotation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle database environments (development, test, production) on Exadata and Linux in AWS.
• Collaborate with developers to define data requirements, design schemas, and optimize SQL.
• Lead design and management of application schemas and database structures.
• Provide troubleshooting for performance, configuration, and availability issues.
• Develop and maintain procedures and best practices for cloud-based database operations.
• Administer high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Data Guard.
• Implement replication with GoldenGate and monitor data replication."
• Perform database backups, patching, and upgrades.
• Support application modernization initiatives with scalable database solutions.
