Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support depot-level testing, repair, and maintenance of EW assets at Crane, Indiana. This role combines hands-on electronics with documentation, parts management, and customer coordination.

Initial work at the customer facility, then transition to a contractor depot facility. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; in-person commitment required; experience with test equipment and schematics is essential.

Qualifications

• Ten years of hands-on electronics experience or an Associate degree with six years in duties listed.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with government customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and verification testing of EW assemblies and related equipment.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and test requirements to identify failures and corrective actions.
• Operate electronic test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies).
• Perform component replacement, soldering/desoldering and rework per standards and qualifications.
• Document discrepancies, repair actions, and final test results for traceability.
• Coordinate status, issues and support needs with customer and Program Manager.
