Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support depot-level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic warfare assets. Work begins at the customer site and transitions to a contractor depot facility, with in-person support required.

The role involves reading schematics and manuals, using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment, performing soldering and rework, and maintaining detailed maintenance records and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree plus 6 years of experience, or 10 years of experience in EW testing and repair.
• Ability to interpret electronic schematics, drawings, and procedures.
• Experience using electronic test equipment to isolate faults and verify performance.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate maintenance records and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and verification testing of EW assemblies and equipment.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to identify failures and corrective actions.
• Operate handheld and benchtop test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
• Document discrepancies, repair actions, and test results for traceability.
• Coordinate with government customers, program management, and suppliers on status and needs.
• Maintain repair assets, parts, tools, and inventory through all stages of repair.
