Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Senior Custodian to join the Environmental Services team in Orange, California. You will report to the EVS Manager and perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance duties across inpatient and outpatient areas.

You will handle floor stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing with care for supplies and equipment. Responsibilities include rotating shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CA driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Previous experience in a service industry position is required.
• Experience interacting with internal and external customers is required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to work in various locations and rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping and/or general maintenance tasks.
• Strip, wax and perform carpet extraction/shampooing for resilient tile and carpeted areas.
• Work in acute and non-acute in-patient, out-patient and non-patient areas as assigned.
