Job summary

American Cancer Society is seeking a Senior Research Associate, Evidence Synthesis to lead systematic evidence reviews informing ACS guidelines for early cancer detection. You will act as PI or co-PI, design and manage multiple projects, and supervise junior staff across diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, health policy/services, or related field with a minimum of 5 years leading systematic evidence reviews or related research.
• Knowledge of study design and basic biostatistics in epidemiology/clinical research; current systematic methods.
• Specialized knowledge in medicine, epidemiology, biostatistics, meta-analysis, genetics, data visualization, or AI.
• Ability to translate complex findings into actionable written research products.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and ability to lead multiple large projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively to scientific/technical audiences and non-clinical policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of systematic evidence reviews from protocol to synthesis and reporting.
• Critically evaluate study quality and strength of evidence for outcomes.
• Communicate findings through presentations, reports, and manuscripts; coordinate with project team members.
• Mentor and supervise junior research staff; manage review team tasks and deadlines.
• Develop working knowledge of cancer screening guidelines and related topics; train team on tools.
• Coordinate with CrEST leadership and guideline teams on scope and updates.
