Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Executive Director, Evidence Generation Lead to convert TA/Asset medical strategy into a prioritized, US-specific evidence plan. This role is the single owner of US evidence accountability for the assigned asset or disease area, overseeing gap identification, prioritization, and execution tracking.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a clinical or health sciences discipline; US-facing Medical Affairs experience preferred.
• Experience spanning more than one evidence-generation pathway.
• Strong prioritization, decision-making, and matrix leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience in a US-facing Medical Affairs environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate medical strategy into prioritized US evidence gaps and plan.
• Governance: route priorities across HEOR, Epidemiology, Grants, and vendors.
• Develop concept notes with justification, cost, and timing for decisions.
• Drive integrated US evidence plan and secure commitments.
• Support dissemination and publications planning in line with evidence needs.
• Track studies, ensure timely delivery and escalation when needed.
• Manage budget planning and compliance for evidence activities.
