Job summary

Open Door Legal in San Francisco seeks a Senior Eviction Defense Housing Attorney to lead a fast-paced, high-volume UD housing practice. The role focuses on representing UD clients, mentoring a diverse team, and expanding access to civil legal aid in the Bay Area.

The position requires California Bar membership, 6+ years in relevant practice, and 2+ years in UD housing. Hybrid work with three days in-office weekly is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• California Bar membership in good standing is required.
• At least six (6) years of relevant professional experience.
• At least two (2) years of Eviction Defense (UD) Housing law experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to ensure housing needs of clients are met in the service area.
• Directly represent UD clients and handle complex cases; conduct intakes in-person and virtually.
• Supervise eviction defense housing staff, interns, fellows, and volunteers; provide mentorship.
