Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership required.
• Commitment to serving low-income clients with trauma-informed, culturally-humble services.
• Experience in a fast-paced office environment.
• Comfort using technology and case management systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Hybrid role requiring 3–4 days in office weekly.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Advance universal access to civil legal aid through effective representation.
• Manage a full caseload with timely openings/closings.
• Appear in SF Superior Court for litigation as needed (approx. every 2 weeks).
• Conduct housing law intakes virtually and in person across Open Door Legal locations.
• Provide clear, compassionate information about cases to clients.
• Support low-income clients with sensitivity to cultural, socio-economic, and disability differences; maintain client satisfaction.
• Uphold team values of teamwork, grit, care, passion, and dynamism.
