Job summary

Manatee County, Inc. seeks an experienced events operations leader to manage day-to-day activities at the Bradenton Area Convention Center and the Powel Crosley Estate.

You will oversee event staffing, scheduling, and on-site logistics to ensure successful conferences, weddings, and civic events. This role requires supervisory experience, strong vendor relations, and the ability to adapt to evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years of experience working in a Convention & Civic Center or related event industry.
• Prior supervisory/lead experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedules, directs and evaluates the work of assigned staff.
• Oversee day-to-day event operations and staffing.
• Coordinate event logistics with venues and vendors.
• Assist with procurement and inventory of event equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate setup, teardown and on-site event activities.
