Job summary

Change Church Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Events to architect and lead execution of church events across campuses. You will translate concepts into comprehensive plans, define milestones, and direct event-day operations with cross-functional teams and volunteers.

The role emphasizes staffing, budgets, risk management, and contingency planning, requiring multi-campus coordination and evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in event management, project management, live event operations, or a related field.
• Ability to translate an approved concept into a comprehensive event plan, including scope, workstreams, timelines, milestones, dependencies, staffing, resources, and contingency plans.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with clear priorities and follow-through.
• Experience recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and developing volunteers or comparable teams.
• Experience managing event budgets, vendor relationships, purchasing, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Strong proficiency with project management platforms, spreadsheets, and shared documentation systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead planning meetings and align cross-functional teams.
• Sound judgment to anticipate risks and lead calmly during live events.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel between campuses as required.

Responsibilities

• Translate approved event concepts into executable scope, objectives, deliverables, and project plans.
• Build milestones, dependencies, and readiness standards for events.
• Assign workstream owners and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain visibility across active and upcoming events and manage competing demands.
• Lead planning meetings producing decisions and concrete next steps.
• Direct Events Project Manager priorities and verify reliability of information.
• Own event-day operations and resolve issues within delegated authority.
