Job summary

Hearst Magazines in New York City is seeking a Senior Manager, Events to lead the planning and execution of high-profile live experiences across Hearst's iconic brands. You will partner with sales, marketing, editorial, and external partners to craft experiences that connect audiences, advertisers, and partners while meeting business objectives.

The role requires 7+ years in event management, strong budgeting and logistics skills, and the ability to travel and work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in event management, experiential production, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of event strategy and production, including budgeting, timelines, logistics, vendor management, onsite operations, and post-event reconciliation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex events and priorities with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as event schedules require.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of live experiences from concept through onsite delivery.
• Develop budgets, production timelines, logistics, staffing, guest communications, and run-of-show documents.
• Partner with sales, marketing, editorial to translate objectives into compelling event experiences.
• Execute sponsorship activations and client deliverables throughout the event lifecycle.
• Manage venues, vendors, production companies and external partners.
• Create detailed production documents, including run-of-shows and floor plans.
• Coordinate VIP experiences, talent logistics, hospitality, and sponsor activations.
• Anticipate and solve production challenges and analyze post-event insights.
