Children's Hospital Association in Lenexa, KS is seeking an experienced Event Services Leader to oversee a conference portfolio and complex meetings, guiding strategy, budgeting, contracting, and execution to deliver exceptional attendee experiences.

The role leads a team, manages contracts over $1M, conducts RFPs, ensures financial stewardship, and partners with Brand & Communications to reflect CHA standards. A hospitality/event background and 3+ years leadership are required.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience managing complex meetings, conferences, or event portfolios.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience negotiating and managing hotel contracts, including terms, concessions, attrition, and cancellations.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, Project Management or related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources and budgets, balance priorities, and mitigate risk across multiple projects.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment balancing priorities, stewardship, and attendee experience.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and relationship management across all organizational levels.

Mansioni

• Own budget planning, forecasting, and expense management for meetings and conference programming exceeding $1.5M.
• Lead RFP process for events including venue sourcing, site visits, bid analysis, and leadership-ready decisions.
• Negotiate contracts exceeding $1M and manage terms, risk, and vendor performance.
• Oversee on-site operations, ensuring seamless execution and attendee experience.
• Supervise and balance workload across Event Services team, with coaching and development.
• Collaborate with Brand & Communications to reflect CHA brand standards in events.
