Job summary

Manatee County Government is seeking a hands-on team lead to coordinate setup and teardown for events at the Bradenton area venues. You will supervise a crew, direct equipment layout, and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining facility grounds and parking operations.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and coordination.

Qualifications

• Completion of 10th grade (must be 18 years of age).
• Minimum six months experience in a special events setting related to tear-down and setup for events and experience in performing maintenance duties in a facility in which such events occur.
• Valid driver's license required with valid Florida driver license required within 30 days of hire.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications for this position.
• Familiarity with small power tools and equipment used in set-ups and teardowns associated with events desired.
• Familiarity with electricity and plumbing concepts and maintenance desired.

Responsibilities

• Direct a crew with varying experience levels to complete layouts according to drawings and instructions.
• Lead setup/teardown of equipment, cleaning, and maintenance of facility and grounds.
• Direct parking operations and supervise events as needed.
• Operate and document tasks using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Communicate clearly in English, follow procedures, and participate in emergency responses.
