AVI-SPL is seeking a Senior Event Support Engineer to manage technical operations and provide white-glove onsite AV support for executive meetings, hybrid events, and live productions. You will lead complex AV systems and collaborate with AV Engineering, Workplace, IT, and Event teams to ensure production-ready spaces.

  • Operate production-grade AV systems including audio mixers, video switchers, PTZ cameras, and Dante/NDI networks.
  • Own daily operation and preventative maintenance of the Executive Conference Center.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of AV, networking, control systems, and signal flow.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure flawless event execution.

The Senior Event Support Engineer is responsible for the technical operation, support, and maintenance of the client's Executive Conference Center and other high-profile collaboration spaces. This role serves as the highest level of onsite AV support, providing white-glove service for executive meetings, client presentations, hybrid events, and live productions while ensuring mission-critical spaces remain operational and production-ready.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Senior Event Support Engineer is responsible for the technical operation, support, and maintenance of the client's Executive Conference Center and other high-profile collaboration spaces. This role serves as the highest level of onsite AV support, providing white-glove service for executive meetings, client presentations, hybrid events, and live productions while ensuring mission‑critical spaces remain operational and production-ready.
The engineer acts as the primary technical lead for complex AV systems, partnering with AV Engineering, Workplace, IT, and Event teams to deliver flawless meeting and event experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for executive meetings, client events, town halls, and hybrid productions.
  • Operate and support production‑grade AV systems including audio mixers, video switchers, PTZ cameras, Q‑SYS DSP/control, Dante audio, NDI, IPTV, and AV‑over‑IP systems.
  • Own the daily operation, readiness, and preventative maintenance of the Executive Conference Center, including standard conference rooms, boardrooms, divisible meeting spaces, and multi‑purpose event spaces.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of AV, networking, control systems, audio, and video signal flow; serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues.
  • Conduct pre‑event testing, technical rehearsals, onsite event support, and post‑event system validation.
  • Coordinate with AV Engineering, Workplace, IT, Networking, vendors, and event stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
  • Maintain system documentation, firmware, inventory, and operational standards while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support commissioning of new AV systems, technology evaluations, and deployment of enterprise AV standards.
Items to Consider
  • AVI‑SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on event requirements and may include occasional travel to various locations in support of the client.
  • This position will generally work in a professional office environment as well as on client sites.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves
  • 3-5 years of professional AV experience supporting enterprise conference centers, executive environments, or live production spaces. 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong experience with Zoom Rooms, Q‑SYS, Dante, NDI, digital audio consoles, video switchers, PTZ camera systems, IPTV, and enterprise AV networking.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across AV hardware, control systems, networking, and signal distribution.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support executive leadership and high‑profile events in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Certifications
  • AVIXA CTS‑I/CTS‑D
  • Q‑SYS Level 2
  • Dante Certification
  • Zoom Rooms Certification
  • Manufacturer certifications (Logitech, Shure, Crestron, etc.)

Min Base: $39.42/hr
