Davidson Hospitality Group seeks a Senior Event Planning Manager in Phoenix, AZ to coordinate all aspects of events from planning to execution and to ensure unforgettable guest experiences. This role acts as a liaison between customers and hotel sales, providing direction during event execution and solving issues on site.

You will manage group room blocks, F&B, meeting space, and billing while upholding hotel service and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 3+ years of food and beverage experience.
• Strong understanding of interpretation of contracts.
• Demonstrated strong business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed.
• Execute and support Hotel Customer Service Standards and Hotel’s Brand Standards.
• Understanding of respective market segment, competitor’s strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
• Work well under pressure.
• Time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deliver outcomes.

Overview

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Senior Event Planning Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of events, from initial planning to execution, to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable experience. The Event Planning Manager acts as a liaison between the customer and hotel salesperson to provide direction and supervision during execution of meeting and banquet functions or event. They will be available to customers during event to solve problems and suggest alternatives to previous arrangements. They will directly serve group customers in a proactive manner working with the logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space, and billing processes. • Strong working knowledge of hotel sales/event CRM systems (e.g., Delphi, Marriott CI/TY, Starwood ISAC, or Hyatt Envision/EMS).
• Working knowledge of statistical data and analytics as they relate to hotel operations and the event sales department.
