Position Summary The Event Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing complex meetings, conferences, and special events from initial planning through on-site execution. The individual serves as the primary liaison for clients, managing event logistics, vendor coordination, catering, lodging, technical services, staffing, and security needs to ensure a successful event experience. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, preparing and managing budgets, monitoring conference center expenditures, and ensuring accurate billing for all event-related charges.

The position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and complex event details
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment in event planning, contract negotiations, and logistical coordination
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Proficiency in learning and utilizing event management, financial, and other computer software systems to support daily operations
