Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in Novi, MI is seeking a Thermal Management Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and integration of thermal systems for our EV powertrain platform, including battery packs and high-voltage components. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years of thermal engineering experience in automotive/EV sectors.
• Strong grounding in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and vapor compression cycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and integration of thermal systems for EV powertrains (battery, drive unit, HVAC).
• Design fluid networks, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and refrigerant systems.
• Perform 1D/3D CFD and thermal analyses using GT-Suite, ANSYS Fluent, etc.
• Specify thermal hardware: chillers, heaters, pumps, materials.
• Collaborate with controls/software teams on closed-loop thermal control.
• Plan and execute bench, environmental chamber, and track tests.
