Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Thermal Management Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and integration of advanced thermal systems for our EV platform, including battery packs, drive units, power electronics, and cabin HVAC. You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams to maximize energy efficiency and vehicle range while meeting safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of thermal engineering experience in automotive/electric vehicles.
• Solid grounding in thermodynamics, fluids, heat transfer, and vapor compression cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize thermal systems for EV powertrain components (battery, drive unit, power electronics, cabin HVAC).
• Perform CFD and thermal analyses to evaluate flow, heat transfer and energy consumption.
• Select and specify thermal hardware (chillers, heaters, pumps, interface materials).
• Develop closed-loop thermal control strategies with software teams.
• Plan and execute bench and environmental testing to validate models.
