Job summary

DynaChrg is seeking a Principal EV Charging & Energy Systems Architect to lead AC/DC charging architecture, energy management, and dynamic load strategies. You will translate complex requirements into clear specifications and collaborate across product, software, and hardware teams.

You will shape the platform roadmap, ensure interoperability across OEMs, and participate in QA validations and field deployments. This is a hybrid role based in California with remote options.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
• At least eight years of relevant professional experience.
• Five years of direct EV charging, energy-management, or real-time power-control experience.
• Deep understanding of AC/DC EV charging architectures and limitations.
• Experience translating needs into functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior SME for AC and DC EV charging, charging management systems, and energy management.
• Shape product strategy and roadmap based on customer needs and market opportunities.
• Translate business/operational needs into functional specifications, use cases, workflows, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Define functional requirements for dynamic load management, power allocation, and energy optimization.
• Define behavior under normal, constrained, and failure conditions.
• Collaborate with technology and QA teams to translate requirements into scalable functionality.
• Support interoperability testing, OEM qualification, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain functional specifications, workflows, and design decisions.
• Assist in strategic customer discussions, utility engagements, and pilot programs.
