Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Senior PR and Communications Manager (12 month fixed-term) to drive expansion into European markets. You will plan and execute PR activities in Ireland, Spain, and other EU markets, while leading go-to-market strategies for new launches and managing in-market leadership exposure.

You will collaborate with marketing, social, influencer, and product teams to craft compelling PR campaigns, mentor a EU PR Manager in Spain, and balance global campaigns with local relevance across

• Proven experience leading tailored and scalable PR strategies for multiple international markets.
• Experience launching brands with little brand awareness in new markets across Europe.
• Track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Strong experience working with external agencies across multiple markets.
• Ability to understand local media and adapt strategy accordingly.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing all PR activity in established European markets, Ireland and Spain.
• Leading and implementing go-to-market PR strategy for Monzo in new markets across EU.
• Finding creative ways to keep Monzo in consumer press through campaigns and reactive news jumps.
• Balancing global campaigns with locally relevant content.
• Managing spokespeople and advising senior leaders on media engagements and storytelling.
• Collaborating with product, commercial, and operations teams to amplify PR opportunities.
• Managing current agencies and preparing for new EU markets.
• Building relationships with media and journalists and handling press enquiries.
• Using data and insights to refine international expansion strategy.
• Establishing new processes for operations in new markets.
