Job summary

MDHHS/DTMB Analytics and Visualization Division in Lansing, MI is seeking a Senior ETL Developer for a one-year contract. The role focuses on IBM DataStage, IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D), and Teradata 20, with responsibilities for migrating workloads to CP4D and building robust ETL pipelines.

You will provide technical leadership on data quality, governance, and integration, develop SQL and BTEQ scripts, create automation with Python, Shell, and XML, and collaborate with architects, DBAs,

Qualifications

• Requires IBM DataStage, CP4D, and Teradata 20 experience.
• Strong SQL and performance tuning abilities; experience with large enterprise datasets.
• Unix/Linux scripting and shell skills; automation experience.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and optimize ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage (parallel/server jobs, performance tuning, job sequencing).
• Support migration of DataStage workloads to CP4D, including refactoring and validation.
• Develop and optimize SQL and BTEQ scripts for Teradata 20.
• Create automation scripts using Python, Shell, and XML for ETL workflows.
• Apply MDM and data governance principles to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with MDHHS data architects, DBAs, analysts and business owners to align deliverables.
• Troubleshoot ETL issues and support Agile delivery.
