Job summary

Onyx Government Services, LLC is seeking a Sr ETL Developer with strong dbt experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for Federal data management and Advanced Analytics projects.

The ideal candidate will have deep SQL/PLSQL skills, hands-on dbt expertise, and experience with modern data platforms. You will contribute to data warehousing efforts, create ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data quality across environments.

Qualifications

• Active BI or NACLC Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of database (ETL) development or data processing/analytical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including models, tests, snapshots, macros, seeds, and documentation.
• Experience with Git and source-control-based development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and automated testing.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills; expertise with data warehouse.

Job Description

Onyx Government Service is seeking an experienced Sr ETL Developer with strong hands-on experience in dbt (data build tool) to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation processes to support Federal data management and Advanced Analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience working with modern data platforms, and a solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT practices. This individual will be responsible for creating data warehouse structures and writing ETL procedure, querying databases, Data Quality assurance, and troubleshooting. The Sr. ETL Developer will join our team as one of the senior developers for a data-warehousing project to solve business intelligence challenges. The position requires deep technical expertise in dbt, PL/SQL, SSIS, BI tools, ETL, and data profiling. Previous consulting experience using an agile delivery methodology is a plus.

• Experience in Tableau dashboard design and development
• SAS Enterprise Guide Development
• Experience with Python for data engineering or automation.
• Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or similar orchestration tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience implementing dbt CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
• Quality assurance and validation experience, specifically comparing multiple data sources for discrepancies and inconsistencies

Estimated Salary Range

$125,000-$145,000

The salary range for this position represents the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, contract requirements, funding and other business considerations.
