Job summary

American Unit, Inc. is seeking a Senior ETL & Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise data platforms powering institutional reporting and analytics.

This individual contributor role leads the technical design across enrollment, student records, finance, HR, and institutional research data, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or ETL development.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database/PL-SQL or SQL Server/T-SQL.
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SnapLogic, or SSIS — OIC and SSIS ideal.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data warehouses, operational data stores, and data lake solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable integration components using Oracle Cloud and SQL Server tools.
• Integrate enterprise systems (ERP, HCM, SIS, CRM) using REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, and event-driven patterns.
• Support BI and analytics initiatives, developing curated datasets and semantic models.
• Optimize database performance, partitioning, and query tuning for large-scale datasets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and analysts.
