Job summary

iSphere is seeking an ETL Data Engineer to join a fast‑moving energy environment in Houston. You will own data integration, ETL processes, and reporting across trading, operations, and analytics platforms.

The role requires expert SQL Server and SSIS experience, Oracle data skills, and Python development for data pipelines and governance. Experience with ETRM/energy trading data is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Expert‑level Microsoft SQL Server experience including design, query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures and SSIS.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports or comparable enterprise reporting solutions.
• Hands‑on Oracle experience including data extraction, integration, SQL development, and performance analysis.
• Strong Python development experience focused on ETL, data engineering, APIs, automation, and data transformation.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, and other data‑processing libraries.
• Experience designing and supporting data pipelines across multiple internal and external systems.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality, governance, and metadata management.
• Experience supporting ETRM platforms and energy trading related processes.
• Experience working with large datasets and data cleansing, reconciliation, and integration from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve, and support data flows between trading, operational, reporting, and analytical platforms.
• Design databases, tune queries, write stored procedures, and troubleshoot performance problems in ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports and other enterprise reporting solutions.
• Work with Oracle, Python, SSRS, Power BI/Tableau, and Power Platform tools to support data needs.
• Enable data pipelines across multiple systems and datasets including energy trading data.
