Job summary
Talan seeks an experienced Business Analyst to support the Orchestrade-based ETRM transformation for an energy trading client. You will gather requirements, liaise across business, trading, and IT teams, and help design and implement the platform across Texas and Europe. Hybrid work in Houston with sponsorship details provided.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in energy trading, with strong ETRM experience and knowledge of the US Power Market. Prior Orchestrade experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in Energy Trading, Commodities Trading, or Capital Markets environments.
- Strong experience with ETRM platforms.
- Orchestrade experience highly preferred.
- Experience on Calypso or Murex is a plus.
- Deep understanding of energy trading lifecycle and US Power Market insights.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from trading, risk, operations, and finance stakeholders.
- Act as the liaison between business users, project management, and IT teams during the implementation lifecycle.
- Participate in workshops and contribute to solution design activities.
- Support the implementation and configuration of the ETRM platform.
- Analyze trading workflows and operational processes across the full trade lifecycle.
- Contribute to functionalities such as Deal Capture, Pricing, Risk Monitoring, P&L, Invoicing.
- Refine requirements to ensure scalable, efficient solutions.
- Support testing activities (test prep, execution, UAT).
- Assist with change management and user adoption initiatives.
