Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking an experienced estimator to bid complex window and curtainwall systems, prepare cost estimates, and ensure adherence to bidding policies for profitability. The role requires architectural takeoffs, coordination with purchasing, engineering, and sales, and close interaction with customers.

You will lead quote coordination across the estimating team, mentor staff, and support engineering hours and labor estimates.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of estimating experience with complex projects.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and train others in bidding processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Bid complex window and curtainwall systems accurately.
• Coordinate quote requests across estimating team to meet due dates.
• Mentor junior estimators and provide guidance on bidding strategies.
• Support engineering hours, freight, and labor estimates for quotes.
• Prepare takeoffs from specifications and drawings and ensure bid accuracy.
