The Sr. Estimator at Tanner Pacific Inc. plays a pivotal role in guiding complex water and wastewater projects.

You will help maintain the estimating database, assess contingencies, and develop reliable estimates across project stages. This role requires deep knowledge of cost modeling and coordination with design, operations, and project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in heavy civil estimating, proficiency with estimating software and MS Project, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management or related field.
• PE Licensed preferred.
• 10+ years of related estimating work experience, preferably on water/wastewater and heavy civil projects.
• Experience with conceptual and detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, change order estimates, bid evaluations, constructability reviews, and cost estimating software.
• Proficiency in estimating software applications and databases.
• Strong skills in estimate planning and process development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with internal and external clients.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of MS Project.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, management and prioritization skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee strategically important estimating projects to ensure successful completion.
• Support the development and formulation of estimate planning and process.
• Review solicitation documents such as specifications and drawings to identify risks.
• Provide technical advice and assistance in the preparation of all levels of estimates.
• Manage and maintain estimating database, ensuring accuracy and relevance of the information.
• Collaborate with other departments to assess understanding of water/wastewater design and construction.
• Keep abreast of updated estimating best practices and incorporate to the company process as applicable.
• Provide constructability reviews and guidance to the operations team to ensure preliminary project costs are accurate and comprehensive.
