Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator – Underground Utilities in the San Fernando Valley to lead estimating for major heavy civil infrastructure projects. The role focuses on underground wet utilities and large-diameter pipelines, with hands-on bid preparation experience.

You will develop detailed costs for labor, equipment, materials, and subs; review plans and geotechnical reports; and mentor estimating staff while coordinating multiple bids to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil estimating, preconstruction, or operations experience.
• 5+ years of underground utility estimating (water, sewer, storm drain).
• Strong experience bidding major heavy civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for underground utility and heavy civil projects.
• Takeoffs for water, sewer, storm drain, and related infrastructure.
• Develop crew compositions, production rates, and unit costs.
• Identify project risks, constructability issues, and bid requirements.
• Organize bid packages and supporting estimate documentation.
• Lead estimate reviews with senior management.
