Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Senior Estimator – Underground Utilities in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles County, CA. This hands-on role leads estimating and bid preparation for major heavy civil infrastructure projects.

You will oversee quantity takeoffs for water, sewer, storm drain, and large-diameter pipelines, develop totals for labor, equipment, and materials, and mentor junior estimators. This is a full-time, on-site position with strong project exposure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil estimating, preconstruction, or operations experience.
• 5+ years of underground utility estimating experience (water, sewer, storm drain).
• Experience bidding major heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for underground utility and heavy civil projects.
• Oversee quantity takeoffs for water, sewer, storm drain and related infrastructure.
• Develop crew compositions, labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Lead estimate reviews with senior management.
• Mentor and coordinate estimating/takeoff engineers.
