Job summary

Wesbuilt Construction Managers, a premier general contractor and construction management firm, seeks a Senior Estimator in the New York area. This role requires detailed cost estimation from schematic to contract execution, with emphasis on accuracy and timely bid submissions.

The candidate will review plans, perform value engineering, and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure budgets align with project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in construction estimating with a proven track record.
• New York City experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and documents to understand scope, materials, and labor needs.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals aligned with budget constraints.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Evaluate risks and develop mitigation strategies for construction projects.
• Work with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders on cost forecasting.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and methods to improve accuracy.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to management.
