Job summary

OE Solar in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced Lead Estimator to drive successful bids for solar PV, EV charging, and Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will manage full estimating, from scope review to proposals, partnering with project management for smooth handoff.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in estimating, NEC/NFPA knowledge, and leadership experience, with strong Excel skills and a valid driver’s license. This is an in-person role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA and industry standards.
• Experience estimating commercial and industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Leadership and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for government and commercial projects.
• Review plans, specs, and bid documents; perform takeoffs and labor calculations.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for EV charging, BESS and solar PV installations.
• Solicit/subcontractor pricing; attend pre-bid meetings/site walks.
• Prepare proposals and bid packages; present estimates to leadership.
• Maintain estimating databases and handoff to project management.
