Job summary

Timeline Design + Build in Saratoga, CA is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead preconstruction budgeting, from concept to final pricing, enabling informed decisions and profitable projects. You will develop budgets, identify risks, coordinate with designers and homeowners, and hand off complete estimates to production.

Strong knowledge of residential remodeling costs, construction methods, and estimating software is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of residential construction estimating experience.
• High-end residential remodeling and custom home experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in preconstruction planning and budget development.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction budgeting and cost modeling from concept through final pricing.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, and final budgets aligned with design goals.
• Identify risks, review plans, and communicate cost feedback to design teams.
• Prepare comprehensive scopes, bid analyses, and pricing for subs.
• Handover complete estimates to production with clear assumptions and deliverables.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to estimating standards.
• Maintain cost databases and ensure pricing remains competitive.
