Job summary

Forgen, based in Denver, CO, seeks a Senior Estimator to support the bid process by developing and preparing cost estimates for complex civil projects. You will coordinate with the capture team, review drawings, and assemble complete bid packages for review by regional and corporate leadership.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in heavy-civil estimating and HCSS/Bid2Win software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years estimating experience in heavy-civil or geotechnical/environmental fields.
• Experience with Primavera/MS Project and Bid2Win/B2W or similar estimating tools.
• Proficient in analyzing drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for projects or services.
• Coordinate estimates with the capture team and submit proposals for review.
• Prepare high-quality submittals, schedules, and figures as part of bids.
• Identify project risks and suggest competitive approaches to bids.
• Takeoffs from project plans and verify labor and equipment rates.
• Maintain cost data and assist with pre-bid walks and meetings.
• Mentor estimating staff and interns and meet bid deadlines.
