Rachel Contracting is seeking an experienced estimator/project manager to lead estimating and project management for earthwork projects with private and public clients in the Midwest. The role involves cost accounting, daily/weekly verifications, change orders, invoicing, and mentoring junior staff. You will engage with clients and coordinate with field teams to ensure timely, quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related earthwork construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to lead a team under challenging conditions.
• Dependable with initiative and follow-through.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.
• Light travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and manage earthwork projects for private and public clients.
• Monitor costs including daily/weekly verifications, change orders, invoicing.
• Communicate with clients, field staff, and management.
• Maintain estimating and project files.
• Mentor junior estimators and interns.
