Job summary

DCR Services and Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Engineer to lead the development of complete, accurate construction estimates and to perform core document-control and cost-management tasks across federal and commercial projects.

You will bridge preconstruction with operations, maintaining scope, cost, schedule, quality, and compliance while supporting bid strategy and turnover. The ideal candidate has five+ years in estimating or project engineering for construction,

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible construction experience in estimating, project engineering, or project management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract clauses.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and project-management software; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel to site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Review solicitations, plans, specifications, amendments, wage determinations, and contract forms; prepare bid summaries, compliance checklists, and estimate work plans.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed estimates by CSI division, trade, building, phase, CLIN, option, allowance, and unit price.
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages with inclusions, exclusions, alternates, allowances, bonds, taxes, permits, and responsibilities.
• Solicit, level, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations; identify gaps, risks, and pricing.
• Build general conditions, staffing plans, preliminary schedules, escalation, contingencies, overhead, profit, bonds, and insurance.
