Job summary

BOND is seeking a Senior Estimator in the Boston area to lead complex preconstruction and budgeting efforts across multiple trades. You will review plans, manage bid processes, and coordinate with estimators, project managers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and accurate scoping.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in local estimating, a BS in construction management or related field, and proven leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in construction management, civil engineering, business administration, or related field and/or 15+ years in local Construction Estimating experience.
• Experience should be in the local construction market.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the regional construction market and a keen understanding of costs and pricing.
• Understanding of business metrics (Opportunities, Hit Rate, Revenue, Operating Profit by Business Unit, Work Type, Client, etc.).
• Must be highly motivated and have strong time management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bid and budget templates with VP, Estimating & Preconstruction.
• Review hard bids with estimating and project management teams.
• Perform quantity takeoffs (QTO) and create scope sheets for vendors and subs.
• Negotiate final scope and buy values for all trades.
• Lead Value Management pricing and mentor estimating team members.
