• 8–10+ years of meaningful heavy civil experience.
• Experience evaluating plans, specs, quantities, schedules, and risk.
• Comfort discussing production rates with superintendents and pricing with suppliers.
• Existing relationships in the southeastern/southcentral PA market.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed heavy civil estimates and bids.
• Lead estimates in HCSS HeavyBid.
• Develop bid strategy with Berg’s President and Owner.
• Evaluate opportunities and decide pursuit viability.
• Develop budgets, VE ideas, and constructability solutions.
• Present proposals and help sell the work.
• Follow opportunities through negotiation and award.
• Turn successful projects over to operations.
• Compare estimates to actual performance for improvement.
