Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator (Pre Construction) in Kettering, MD for an on-site, permanent role with a $120,000—$145,000 yearly salary. You will lead the pre-construction team, prepare cost estimates for base buildings and interiors, and manage pre-bid sessions. Proficiency with BlueBeam and knowledge of codes are essential.

You will collaborate with PMs, architects, and engineers, format RFPs, and monitor costs to stay within budgets. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; CPE is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating or construction management.
• Experience in pre-construction including managing pre-bid sessions and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Proficient with BlueBeam or similar for reviewing project plans.
• Experience formatting and preparing RFPs.
• Base building and interior project experience required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CPE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction team in preparing accurate cost estimates for base buildings and interior projects.
• Manage pre-bid sessions and communicate information to contractors.
• Interpret and apply building codes to ensure compliance.
