Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Estimator / Project Manager for a growing commercial steelwork business on Long Island, NY. This hands-on role covers estimating through installation, with a focus on miscellaneous metals and architectural metalwork.

You will prepare competitive bids, review drawings, coordinate with detailers and fabricators, and drive projects to successful completion while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of estimating and/or project management experience.
• Background in miscellaneous metals, architectural metalwork, or commercial steelwork.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specs and tender documents.
• Proficiency with digital estimating and on-screen takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial steelwork and architectural metal projects.
• Review drawings, specs and tender packages for takeoffs.
• Manage projects from bid through fabrication, installation and completion.
• Coordinate with detailers, fabricators, subcontractors and installation teams.
• Use estimating software and digital tools to prepare bids within deadlines.
• Monitor progress and manage multiple priorities on ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with the team and own your workload.
