Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Houston, TX seeks a Principal Estimator with 10–15 years of estimating experience to join our team. This full‑time, office‑based role reports to the Vice President of Estimating and focuses on LNG process plant and maintenance/Outage cost estimates.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Construction and Operations to develop comprehensive estimates, perform risk analysis, and support investment decisions across projects of varying scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years estimating and project controls experience.
• Experience in LNG or power industries preferred.
• Proficient in estimation software and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop order-of-magnitude and feasibility estimates.
• Perform cost benchmarking and bid evaluation.
• Prepare turnaround cost estimates and maintenance budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
• Identify risks affecting costs and schedules.
• Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Operations.
• Support change management and variance analysis.
• Update estimates as new information becomes available.
• Present cost analyses in management reviews.
• Assist with historical data for benchmarking.
