Petroplan is seeking an experienced Director of Estimating to lead cost estimation activities across LNG process facilities, capital projects, and maintenance programs. The role requires 10–15 years of estimating experience and strong leadership, communication, and risk-analysis skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
• Approximately 10–15 years of experience in cost estimating, project controls, or related disciplines in construction, engineering, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Experience supporting LNG facilities, process plants, or large energy infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in conceptual, feasibility, detailed, capital project, maintenance, and turnaround estimating.
• Strong understanding of construction execution practices, project development, cost control principles, and project management methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development and review of conceptual, feasibility, preliminary, order-of-magnitude, and detailed project estimates using parametric, capacity-based, and other estimating methodologies.
• Oversee estimating activities for LNG process facilities, small capital projects, equipment replacements, maintenance programs, and plant turnarounds.
• Develop estimating plans, basis-of-estimate documentation, cost reports, presentations, assumptions, methodologies, exclusions, and project constraints.
• Evaluate cost benchmarks, contractor bids, proposals, and supporting documentation to assess cost competitiveness and project value.
• Lead change management and cost variance analysis, identifying deviations from budgets and evaluating impacts of scope changes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish project scope, technical requirements, execution strategies, and estimating assumptions.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, procurement documentation, and other deliverables to develop reliable estimates.
• Analyze direct and indirect costs including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Identify cost and schedule risks, conduct contingency assessments, and recommend mitigations.
• Provide technical guidance and QA for estimating team members, including review of complex estimates.
• Support project management during cost reviews, investment evaluations, budget development, and approvals.
• Develop and maintain maintenance and turnaround cost estimates while supporting annual budgets.
• Monitor estimate development as scope evolves to maintain accuracy throughout the lifecycle.
• Compile historical cost data and benchmarks to improve estimating accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating methodologies, tools, and workflows.
