Job summary

Foundry in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction budgeting, subcontractor outreach, and risk assessment for a strong pipeline of commercial projects in South Florida.

The role involves developing budgets from conceptual stages through GMP, evaluating value engineering opportunities, and working closely with owners and design teams to translate concepts into successful bids.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial estimating or preconstruction experience
• Experience with General Contractors
• Experience developing estimates from conceptual stages through GMP
• Strong subcontractor bid management and scope review experience
• Experience with value engineering and constructability reviews
• Understanding of project costs, risk and market conditions
• Confident communication with owners, architects and subcontractors

Responsibilities

• Leading estimates from conceptual budgeting through GMP
• Preparing detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs
• Developing scopes of work and bid packages
• Managing subcontractor outreach and bid coverage
• Reviewing and leveling subcontractor proposals
• Developing conceptual and schematic budgets
• Identifying value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
• Reviewing drawings for constructability and risk
• Collaborating with Operations during preconstruction
• Participating in client meetings and presentations
• Building relationships with subcontractors, architects and clients
• Supporting project handover from Preconstruction into Operations
• Mentoring junior estimators and team members
