Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Estimator for Columbus, OH to lead detailed cost estimates on large commercial projects and mentor junior staff. This role shapes preconstruction strategy for a variety of high-profile bids.

You will review project docs, manage subcontractor outreach, and present proposals to executives and clients. A BS in CM/Engineering and 7+ years of estimating experience for $20M+ projects are preferred, with strong leadership and software proficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction software tools.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage preparation of detailed cost estimates on large, complex projects.
• Review project documents, identify risks, and develop forecast strategies.
• Oversee subcontractor/vendor outreach, bid evaluations, and scope reviews.
• Guide and mentor junior estimators, providing leadership and technical expertise.
• Collaborate with project management, field operations, owners, and design teams.
• Develop and present proposals and budgets to executives and clients.
• Monitor market conditions, material pricing, and labor availability.
• Contribute to business development and pursuit efforts.
