Job summary

A leading construction firm based in New York is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead all estimating efforts on complex, large-scale projects. Responsibilities include analyzing project documentation to prepare time and cost estimates, managing subcontractor relations, and ensuring quality control of bids. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of construction experience, a BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating field.
• Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing.
• Federal bidding/estimating experience strongly desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Build relationships to understand client and subcontractor needs.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to prepare estimates.
• Facilitate collaboration amongst team members.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for materials and labor.
