Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of heavy civil/highway estimating experience, preferably with underground utility work.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred; extensive field experience acceptable.
• Proven ability to build estimates from ground up with competitive profitability.
• Experience with CMAR, CMGC, and Design‑Build delivery methods.

Aufgaben

• Lead the estimating process: analyze specs, drawings, and related docs; participate in pre-bid meetings to define scope and plan.
• Review historical cost reports, production data, and records to establish unit costs and man-hour estimates.
• Prepare complete, detailed estimates including takeoffs, subcontracting, and bid compliance.
• Maintain organized files and backup documentation for all estimate figures and assumptions.
• Stay current with industry developments through education, publications, networking, and associations.
• Present estimates and strategies to senior leadership; prepare meetings and distribute supporting materials.
• Mentor junior estimators to strengthen the estimating team.
