Job summary

rand* construction corporation in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bidding and cost analysis for complex commercial projects. You will develop conceptual estimates, manage subcontractor scopes, and guide preconstruction deliverables to ensure competitive bids.

You will cultivate relationships with qualified subcontractors, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare detailed budgets and RFIs while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or Construction Management recommended.
• Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction.
• Strong ability to analyze project drawings, specifications and RFPs.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual estimates, bids and pricing analysis for proposed projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and bid log upkeep.
• Prepare time, cost and labor estimates by analyzing drawings, specs and RFPs.
• Develop subcontractor relationships and solicit bids.
• Evaluate bid specs and drawings and conduct site surveys.
• Develop budgets and RFIs and coordinate with internal teams.
